We here at the Musical Innertube know you like to listen to podcasts. But we've also heard from those of you who say, "John and Don, the Innertube is only 30-40 minutes long!  How do we fill the many other minutes of the week?"

Here are two suggestions:

First, Safeguarding Sound Science, hosted and produced by our old friend Mat Kaplan. Mat hosted and produced Planetary Radio for the Plantetary Society for 22 years before retiring last year.  But once a podcaster, always a podcaster, and this year he's come up with a new series for the National Center for Science Education.  Safeguarding Sound Science combats misinformation, disinformation, and misconceptions about climate change with actual science. In the 7-episode Season One: Climate Change Edition, Mat talks to scientists, teachers, and other experts to explore who's behind some of the more insidious efforts to sow distrust in climate science, how those efforts filter down to schools and classrooms, and what is being done to ensure that everyone — especially students — is exposed to accurate climate science.

And Nick Roman has Roman on the Radio. Nick joined us on the Innertube several times to report on happenings in Southern California, and to chat with us about our mutual love of baseball.  Here, Nick talks with the reporters, producers, hosts and others who drive the news and information that fill the airwaves of public radio.  A good listen in these times of NPR de-funding.

Get Roman on the Radio on Apple podcasts or wherever you subscribe to your podcasts.

So, there you have it!  A few more minutes of your busy week filled with memorable and informative podcasts.  Add that to eating, sleeping, working, family time, occasional exercise and the fleeting moments of just fooloing around, and you have a pretty full week!

You're welcome.
