Frequent Innertube guest Julie McKelvey is preparing for the mountain climb of her life -- and you can help her make that climb count for even more! Here is what Julie posted this week on her Facebook page:
In 5 weeks, I leave for Nepal to climb Mt. Everest, the highest peak in the world! 29,032ft - the number all the way up!
Everest will be my 6th of the Seven Summits after successfully summitting Kilimanjaro, Elbrus, Aconcagua, Vinson & Denali in the last 5 years. Everything I’ve done so far has led me to this.
I’m doing this climb to raise money for the Miracle-Ear Foundation who provide free hearing aids to children and adults who can’t afford. This climb is completely self-funded with 100% of donations going directly to the Foundation.
I’ve received support from SO many of you thru this journey and I’m asking for help in making this the biggest fundraising campaign yet to help as many hearing-impaired people as possible. Everest will be one of the most difficult challenges of my life, but it’s nothing compared to the struggle so many with hearing loss who cannot afford help go through.
