Rod Goelz was your typical rockstar-wannabe. He played in local bands in local bars. But once he started teaching music, he found his real passion. Now he's using new and different ways of teaching to pass on that passion to students and others who need music in their lives.

Rod is well known in the central Pennsylvania area as a performing musician with Groove Jones, American Hollar, Boompop Coalition, The Kilmaine Saints, among others.
As an educator, Rod teaches private lessons on guitar, bass, drums, percussion, ukulele, and mandolin. Rod works at The Rock Mill in Mechanicsburg and is the creator, and leader of all of the institutions ensembles as leader of the school’s ROCK BAND program as well as running many of the summer camps.
Rod also works with the Weary Arts Group (WAG Music) and is the creator of the BOOMPOP Method, a groove based improvisational method, and teaches this approach to students of all ages (3 to 93).
Rod is founder and creator of MUSIC & WELLNESS, a built to suit music program addressing improvement of life through music, creativity, sound, singing, rhythm, movement, and energy.
