It's an honor just to be nominated....
It's our first big awards nomination, and we couldn't be more proud! (Well, we COULD, maybe, if we won, but still...) The Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame Awards ballot lists the Musical Innertube among its Best Podcast nominees, as seen in this screenshot:

We're pretty sure this came about because of our episodes with PA music historian Bill Trousdale, spotlighting the place Pennsylvania has in music history, with artists like the Magnificent Men and Sister Rosetta Tharp. Actually, though, it's always a Musical Innertube because of the involvement of co-host John Timpane, a musician to the core! Plus, music is always popping up on the 'Tube, as with our discussions of TV theme music with Jon Burlingame, ballet with Phil Chan, the life of Carole King with biographer Jane Eisner -- just take a look at our current discussion with Patrick Berkery, who is not only a writer and editor but a session drummer.
